Abstract

The contribution analyses «Regeneration and resilience: words, works and omissions», with attention to the context, the reading tools and the implications for policies. This is demonstrated by the data of the last scientific conference of AISRe (Beyond the crises, L’Aquila 16-18 September 2019) in which on 74 sessions organized 8 had the theme of regeneration and resilience and 28 contributions presented in the title one of the two terms. Google Trends Regeneration has progressively become an omnicomprehensive and polysemic synonym, usable without distinction at the different scales of the intervention on the existing one, from that building to that territorial one. Google Trends A lexical revolution that has quickly invested as drastically political and scientific debate, electoral programs and dissemination initiatives, until it spreads the term resilience among the words commonly present in tattoo lists (!). R. 6 June 2001 n. 380, Unico Testo dell’Edilizia, in which not even the latest changes in 2019 (Decreto unlocks yards) introduced references to urban regeneration. In these cases the resilience – that of the Artamis district – diverges evidently from the regeneration – that of the La Jontion district – to exclude each other.
