Abstract
The work examines 'Enterprise and work after deindustrialization. Venice and the transformations in place in Porto Marghera", bringing in relation the territorial dimension with the relevant economic and institutional aspects. The work in the great industry has significantly connoted the historical parable of Venice of mainland and Porto Marghera in particular (Barbiani, Sarto, 2007; Chinello, 1985). Considered in an evenemential framework, deindustrialization has brought with it the perception of an almost total disappearance of work from these areas. Sectoral composition of short and long term in the area of Porto Marghera In the history of Porto Marghera, the year 1965 can be considered the turning point of a long industrial parable by virtue of the approximately 33,000 workers then occupied: the maximum peak of employment never reached. At the same time, in the City of Venice there is a relative concentration of the new professions linked to the advanced tertiary, and in particular to the KIBS. Structural change since deindustrialization has given rise to a clear occupational gap, also due to the lack of re-employment in the area of professional skills formed during the “great industrial” period.
