Abstract

The contribution analyses «A model of development for the internal areas: the case of the earthquake crater of 2016-2017», with attention to the context, the reading tools and the implications for policies. Access to public services is an essential determinant of residentiality (Espon, 2013; Camagni, 2009), particularly problematic in police territories (Amatrice counts 49 fractions), where the bell tower counted more than the municipal palace (Morettini, 2019). Territorial distribution of the functions “qualificants” Qualifying Functions Municipality Immigrati Agriculture Manufacture Tourism Sport Culture Restaurant Comunanza Force Montegallo Montemonaco Palmiano Amandola Montefalcone Appennino Montefortino Smerillo The figures and the tables above show at least three stylized facts. Instead, it should promote residentiality, developing development strategies capable of reinvigoating socio-economic contexts for a long time, to offer life expectations no longer limited to the simple subsistence (Dematteis, 2016). Reconstruction should promote multi-level governance tools without indulging to improvised and incoherent localism but not passively borrowing organizational models set on other contexts. The proposed method aims to enhance local specializations and to contain the distance from service centres for all localities in the contexts examined.
