Enterprise networks and competitiveness of SMEs in global markets

Abstract
The work examines ‘Business and Competitiveness Networks of SMEs in global markets’, bringing the territorial dimension into line with the relevant economic and institutional aspects. Moving from closed markets to global markets, competitiveness among enterprises tends to take on an increasingly close meaning to collaboration/cooperation, abandoning antagonism/reversibility. For companies operating in global contexts, the use of collaboration becomes the privileged path (and in some ways obliged) to better address the challenges posed by dynamism and global openness. Business Networks and corporate dimension in global markets Acting on global markets leads to inevitable reflections on company size and the presence of a managerial culture oriented to growth and sharing. While it is able to pursue a variety of objectives, enterprise networks can ultimately become an excellent tool for the competitive strengthening of SMEs operating in global markets, allowing individual (persons or enterprises) nodes to: 1. Expand the use basin of a good idea from one place to another, from one sector to another, from one application to another (Rullani, 2010).
