Il coworking in Italia: localizzazione, performance, effetti sul contesto urbano
Abstract
The study explores "coworking in Italy: location, performance, effects on the urban context", reconstructing the problem and the main evidence developed in the text. Technological innovations have promoted the development of knowledge-based economies, the growth of information society, the emergence of sharing economy and the birth of the organizational model of production that is indicated as Industry 4.0 (Bianchi, 2018). In April 2018, the CS present in Italy 2 were 549, but the phenomenon is constantly changing, in fact in the previous year ENEA 3 recorded 578 and in January 2009 Italiancoworking 4 more than 660. The heterogeneity of the data is also linked to the definition of coworking that is adopted, since they are often defined as such, mere real estate operations of sub-lease/space. Conclusive considerations The first results of the analysis highlight the potential of CS, which were also recognized by large companies such as Google and Microsoft. These great players have encouraged local CSs with the aim not only to improve their public visibility, but also to experience open innovation and monitor the bottom-up innovations generated within the local business ecosystem.
