Abstract

The work examines “Planum: experimenting with content and languages on contemporary urbanism”, linking the spatial dimension with relevant economic and institutional aspects. Owned by the INU (National Institute of Urbanism), the magazine is managed by the Association Planum, an independent association that promotes its realization and takes care of the construction of conditions so that, for more than 17 years, the activity can be developed continuously 1. The original project and its evolution Retracing the history of the foundation of Planum is useful to clarify what were the original objectives of the project, regarding the evolution of the magazine and the current and diversified panorama of online scientific journals. The composition of past editing is indicated in the section “About” (and in particular the working group of the period 2011-2014: Marina Reisner, Claudia Botti, Salvatore Caschetto). “Ibidem. Within “Books” there are short presentations and illustrative materials of national and international volumes, chosen by the editor or reported by the authors; the section “Journals” is composed of the indexes of the magazines hosted and the accessories materials in download, such as the covers or the English abstracts of the individual numbers.
