Abstract

The work examines «Green economy of the Italian regions: 2012 – 2017», reporting the territorial dimension with the relevant economic and institutional aspects. Through this architecture it is possible to examine the green impact to the regional territorial scale and, with appropriate adjustments of the indicators, also provincial. The article focuses on the regional scale and analyzes the different contexts of the green economy by providing a ranking of the Italian regions compared to the six socio-economic spheres considered. Personal behaviors also seem to follow a geographical gradient though with less linear trends, which also reward some regions of the south. It is particularly interesting in north-eastern Italy and makes the Veneto and Friuli slip at the bottom of the ranking. The percentage of people who claim to perceive unpleasant smells in the air, a sign of an increase in environmental sensitivity. To finally reach the approval of the national law on soil consumption with the objective (already present in the bill) of zero consumption from 2050. Further incentives for investment in energy efficiency of buildings and for the structure of ESCo (Energy Service Company), renewing public infrastructure with sector plans.
