Abstract

The study deepens "Cohesion Policy 2014-2020: Differences compared to the previous period", reconstructing the problem and the main evidence developed in the text. This article examines which projects are being implemented to pursue them and how thematic composition of the 2014-2020 implementation is characterised compared to that of 2007-2013. Resources associated with projects identified with direct selection in the Programmes and resources activated by the Programmes by invitations to tender (which will be considered once the data on the projects in place are available). Specifically, interventions in favour of the Competitiveness of enterprises, which appear to be priority in 2014-2020 as a whole, represented just 5 percent in the corresponding together 2007-2013. The topics of Research and Innovation and Social Inclusion, which are currently weighing for about 24 and 10 percent, are also important compared to the previous period. The chart represents the percentage quotas for synthetic funding themes associated with representative sets of the implementation of the periods 2007-2013 (projects in implementation) and 2014-2020 (financial opportunity). In the meantime, the evidence emerging from the comparison proposed here is a profound change in the thematic composition of the two implementations.
