Polarization on the labour market in Italy

Abstract
The article addresses “The polarization on the labour market in Italy”, placing the theme in the economic, social and territorial framework discussed by the authors. Following the logic scheme proposed by Autor et al. (2003) four types of tasks can be easily represented in a 2×2 matrix. Not routine cognitive tasks are integrated with technological changes and therefore experience significant growth (with an increase in knowledge-invensive professions). The emergence of polarization in the Italian labour market This article analyses changes in Italy between 2011 and 2018 on the labour market. A significant contribution to the effect of technological diffusion on a highly trade unionized labour market comes from Nels and Olivieri (2011) who study the polarization process by analyzing the joint effect of technology and trade unions. Unfortunately, the labour market today provides relatively crude signals about the “Compte Personnel de Formation” is a tool provided by the French government since 2015. Comparing the qualifications of the workers with the qualifications necessary for work is empirically investigated on the lack of correspondence whose causes are multiple (Monti e Pellizzari, 2017).
