Abstract

The work examines 'Orients for an eco-system understanding of NEETs and consequent support policies', bringing the territorial dimension into line with the relevant economic and institutional aspects. The project, lasting three years, is responsible for the InCreaSe Receiving Group with the financial support of the Compagnia di San Paolo. Resuming the seven categories proposed by Eurofound (2016) it is also seen that the 'media' situation of NEET 15-24enni in Europe sees a marked premise of young unemployed for less than a year, who are looking for a job and are available to start it within 2 weeks. The countries that form this cluster (Slovacchia, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Portugal) are united by a greater presence of long-term NEETs. In particular, the data collected with the ARCHivio Integrated Project of Economic and Demographic Microdata (ARCHIMEDE), which integrates traditional Istat data with those of administrative archives. In support of this operation, in the period 2014-2020 the European Social Fund will invest directly at least EUR 6.3 billion to be added to further EUR 6.4 billion of the Youth Employment Initiative (IOG).
