Abstract

The contribution analyses “The regional spatial dimension in the choices of the Constituent Assembly”, with attention to the context, the reading tools and the implications for policies. It is only known of some voices of opposing Constitutions, such as Luigi Einaudi (PLI), who denied for example the historicity of the statistical boundaries, and brought back the example of the Langhe. It is noted in these observations of Einaudi, a protest towards the territorial delimitations considered astoric, without regard to popular knowledge, he instead wanted more modern and functional territorial delimitations. The opposition to the project was manifested on 17 January when Palmiro Togliatti attempted to restrict the legal attributes of the new body through a motion reciting. The Christian Democrats also agreed with the PCI in urging the approval of a crop that they themselves judged obsolete, declaring that they did not possess the necessary information for the determination of the Regions, renouncing to promote investigations. The propositions of which the liberation war, the CLNs, the most advanced cultural and political groups had become bearers" (Bonora 1984, p.92).
