La programmazione del turismo e della mobilità sostenibile nelle aree naturali protette: il caso della Puglia
Abstract
The work examines "The programming of tourism and sustainable mobility in protected natural areas: the case of Apulia", reporting the territorial dimension with the relevant economic and institutional aspects. Most European countries are characterized by seasonal dynamics that see tourism concentrated in mountainous areas in winter and coastal resorts (and bathing) in summer. This model was applied by Bergantino et al. (2019) to three protected areas of Puglia: two National Parks and the Natural State Reserve of Torre Guaceto. As trekking, orienteering, trial and mountain biking, which should be further encouraged and inserted in a precise development plan of this segment to promote the Park also abroad as a privileged destination for sports tourism and international outdoors, which represents one of the types of sustainable tourism demand in the most rapid development of recent years. This synergy would increase the importance and attractiveness of the product offered by the Park area, combining natural and landscape resources with the important cultural resources present and the widespread fabric of agro-pastoral enterprises that characterize it.
