Abstract

The study explores «The financial performance of the Regions in the context of cohesion policy», reconstructing the problem and the main evidence developed in the text. The method used for processing is very simple, also because the many, but not particularly heterogeneous data made available through the above mentioned portal, in our opinion do not allow to carry out further and more complex processing [3]. In particular, in 2011 the Action Plan for Cohesion was launched, substantially consisting of a renewed commitment to better and more quickly spend Community funds and its national co-financing [4]. On the other hand, the small demographic and territorial dimension that favours inter-institutional and interpersonal relationships, reducing transaction costs, including those resulting from the time of execution of approved investments. In the light of the latest experience, however, we can ask whether the central and regional administration will have an adequate administrative and managerial capacity to be able to employ them entirely and do not see themselves forced to give up part because, above all, their rooted inefficiency.
