Abstract

The work examines 'Infrastructures and real estate market: the case of Turin-Lione', bringing in relation the territorial dimension with the relevant economic and institutional aspects. The innovative element of the work consists in trying to highlight how the negative media effect of the work probably goes far beyond its real economic impacts. Description of the infrastructure, real estate market and reference scenarios The contribution takes inspiration from the realization of the high capacity and railway speed in the section Torino-Lione, included within the Corridor V Lisbon-Kiev of the TEN network (Trans European Network), and from the effects that this work had at the media and real estate level. The area, in the two years prior to the study, has seen a substantial stall in the trades with lightly descending prices and noticeably dilated sales times (Pavese, 2011). For example, women who responded were coeteris paribus, much less likely to make good deals than males. In fact only twenty percent of the respondents proved favorable to the purchase, a data that is definitely abnormal even once purified of the physiological contraction due to the negative real estate cycle.
