plaNext – next generation planning: verso una peer-review aperta
Abstract
The article deals with “plaNext – next generation planning: towards an open peer-review”, placing the theme in the economic, social and territorial framework discussed by the authors. PlaNext: a peer-review experiment (almost) open The decision to launch plaNext was born in 2013 in Gotheborg, on the margin of the YAs annual conference, with the aim of giving continuity to the topics discussed during the conference. The editing of plaNext is made up of members of the AESOP-YA network (initially by those who were part of the coordination team in 2013). PlaNext alternates thematic numbers, in which are presented the best papers selected by the annual conferences of AESOP-YA, and generalists. The presence within the curriculum of articles in peer-review magazines has become conditio sine qua non to enter and progress in the academy. In particular, the auditors adopted the anonymity in those few cases where they sent extremely summary, little detailed and poorly constructive reviews. More generally, it is worth stressing the usefulness of questioning all those instruments, such as peer-review, which, in becoming undisputed and indisputable standards, can contradict their own principles.
