Abstract
The work examines 'human capital, universities and regional development', bringing the territorial dimension into line with the relevant economic and institutional aspects. This article is taken from the author’s intervention at the Plenary Session of the Rectors of the Southern Universities “Human Capital, University System and Regional Development”, held on 14 September 2015 in Rende (CS), on the occasion of the last Scientific Conference of the AISRe. In view of the relevance and relevance of the topics dealt with, Redazione considered it useful to publish it and share it with EyesReg readers. The latter confirms the need, for the Apulian university system, to imagine formulas to try to reverse the trend. By doing a little self-critical, we should all wonder why the university system can't do the same. A serious coordination speech passes through the overcoming of particularisms, because “campanilismi” sometimes prevent even focusing on excellence in certain scientific-disciplinary areas. Report that in my University, for example, of the masters proposed in the academic year 2014-15 92% was a failure, while 8% was a success (i.e. they recorded a number of enrolled enough to be able to actually start).
