Abstract

The study explores “Expo 2015 and the hole in the (in Via d)’Acqua”, reconstructing the problem and the main evidence developed in the text. Trattando di Expo 2015 in previous chronicles, it was occasion to highlight how the entire decision-making and implementation process was characterized by separateness of the fields of action, difficulty of coordination, frequent and expensive (in times and resources) stop and go. Despite its territorial complexity, the waterway project also represents a unique case of exemption from environmentally-friendly preventive evaluations. III stralcio (by the end of 2016), preliminary project of realization of the channel trunk from the Olona Deviator to the definitive address in the Naviglio Grande. The Via d’Acqua would not be of any economic interest to the Consorzio Est Ticino Villoresi and would therefore be abandoned". On the eve of the inauguration of the Expo, the Via d’Acqua, which has now become a paradoxical (and expensive) warning about the need to capitalize on infrastructure investments and to finalize them to a primary objective of territorial and environmental legacy of the event.
